Egremont 'Crab Fair'

Egremont, Cumbria. The mosaic was commissioned as part of a scheme to revamp the town centre. It was constructed in the classroom by children from three local primary schools before being installed on site. The motifs in the mosaic were drawn by the children on the theme of Crab Fair, a traditional event exclusive to the town. The mosaic is four metres square and made using unglazed ceramic tiles.
